A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...The Incredibles!

Ahhh, a Pixar movie. With a quality so reliable, you could almost give the film a grade before you even saw it. Meanwhile, we asked members of the DFOF to share their own superhero fantasies with us...

Dad: I'd be the Timestopper, like that guy from The Girl, the Gold Watch, and Everything. Then I could still go to Confession like a good Catholic, and not get laughed out of church like I did last time after the watermelon business. It looked so juicy! How wrong could it have been?

Mom: I'm already a superhero to my family. And besides, who needs all that "special power" crap? Martha Stewart had it, and look where it got her - busted down on Bourbon Street! Not me, honey, no way.

Sis: I wanna know what's going on inside that donghead Roach Kirkson's brain when he sees me making out with this new nerdy-hot guy - and then make it feel like, a hundred times worse. Can I get that superpower?

Bro: I'd be Insectivore and make all insects do my bidding. They'd storm the capitals of the world and hold all sisters hostage until the armies bowed down to the new bug-tocracy, BWA HA HA!

Baby: It's a little intense for me, but then again, Garfield was too intense for me. Or maybe that was just my intense loathing for Garfield. But I digress. Iron Giant creator Brad Bird has - finally! - done it again. Congrats, dude!

Verdict: It's not up to the Best Picture nomination hype, but it's better than 90% of the rest of that Hollywood dreck. Big screen.
