A Dysfunctional Family of Five Reviews...Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason!

A chick-flick sequel! Now how often does that happen? And it looks like Renée packed on more weight than she did for the last one. But if that's what goes for fat these days, then we're signing up with the Chubby Chasers, pronto.

Dad: Ahh, the movie series that finally made Hugh Grant's allure make sense to me. But how do you screw around on Liz Hurley, Hugh? How in Mel's name, I ask you! Liz Hurley!

Mom: You think she ever let him touch the goods, honey? Oh, hells no. That whole Divine Brown thing wasn't deviancy, it was desperation. Now there's a woman who's workin' the power!

Sis: If Renée Zellweger ever wrote a diet book, I'd totally buy it. She got fat twice, and lost it all both times and then some! It's ruining her hair, though - have you seen that greasy carpet lately?!

Bro: BIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Baby: I liked the first one a lot, but gosh if it wasn't just a one-shot wonder. It could skate on personality alone, though, since Renée, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are more smile-inducing than the bunny rabbit pen at the local pet store. But eventually, you have to clean up after the mess.

Verdict: Wait for the rental, then do a two-for-one night along with the original, and start pouring the margaritas. You'll be so plastered after the first movie, you won't even notice how the second one is much paler in comparison.
