Suri Sure Sounds Super to TomKat!
It was risky business for film legend Tom Cruise to move far & away from ex-wife Nicole Kidman and file for divorce. Initially it was thought theirs was an endless love.
Entertainment pundits anticipated a war of the worlds between the two. Cruise rebounded quickly, however, and showed all the right moves in landing a relationship with Katie Holmes. Given the disparity of age between the two, people who thought the romance would last would also have to be considered the outsiders of Hollywood and in a considerable minority. Reports say young Katie Holmes has always hung around a few good men, and has even had an interview with a vampire and the purported last samurai as potential suitors.
After the marriage of the two actors, many thought that conception would be mission impossible for the duo. It was rumored that Tom's "top gun" was firing blanks because he and Kidman had adopted children in the past. Katie got pregnant anyway; apparently she taps his inner-man.
But now it's time to celebrate with a cocktail as the proud parents did after the birth of healthy baby girl, Suri, born April 18th (not born on the 4th of July as her father had previously hoped).
Cruise's publicist Jerry McGuire released following statement on their behalf: "We could have had days of thunder and rain man, pouring from a vanilla sky, but that wouldn't bother me at all now that I have a baby girl as beautiful as a blooming magnolia blossom.
"Since Suri was born with her eyes wide shut, we don't know the color, but I have the firm belief that they're emerald green, just like the color of money. This love I feel now, I won't be losin' it. There's nothing you could offer as collateral that would make me let go of these two."
