 DHHG: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AldersonMar 10 2005 by Tara Zucker
Young Harry Potter, newly arrived at the DHHG, settled into a chair in the conference room where an urgent staff meeting had been called. Harry had dreamed of working in such a place all his life. A wizard at interior design, he could look at a room and instantly know how to transform it. Walls would change color, furniture would move, and the results were magical. The day he arrived at the Department Harry had sworn a secret oath of allegiance. Little did he know how soon that vow would be tested. Secretary Kenneth, the powerful head of the DHHG, entered the room. Kenneth was a fearless leader, yet today there was something ominous in his demeanor that alarmed Harry. What could be troubling this mighty warrior, who had waged so many battles and always emerged triumphant? As Kenneth surveyed the room, he seemed to gather strength from his loyal staff. He spoke simply, in a strong, clear voice. "It is with great regret that I must confirm that She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is among us again, having returned from her exile at Alderson. This is NOT a good thing. The situation is being monitored with the utmost urgency." Harry felt a sudden chill pierce him to his core. He knew the Domestic Diva had taken her considerable skills to the dark side and had been punished for her transgression. Now she was free again, and Harry knew she could teach him things he could never learn from anyone else. But the question remained - could she be trusted? Or was that, perhaps, the very reason he was drawn to her? He knew then, with blinding certainly, that he would soon face this mighty adversary, and, as a consequence, his own innermost demons.
